Live at the Filmore East 1970

About this release

Out of stock

The Mountain Masters are a series of live archive recordings, which come from Leslie West and Corky Laing's extensive live tape collection. Each album will be previously unreleased and will be re mastered for release.

This particular release finds the band playing at the legendary Fillmore East in December 1970. The bands Nantucket Sleighride was just one month away from release which explains why the band had included tracks from that album in the live set. In fact this performance of Nantucket Sleighride is probably one of the earliest live performances of the song that remains a staple of the bands set to this day.

Other tracks on this album are Mississippi Queen, Never In My Life and from Leslie's first album. Blind Man and Dreams Of Milk and Honey. The series will be welcomed by the still substantial Mountain fan base and as previously stated all the performances will be previously unreleased.

1. Never In My Life 2. Into the Animal Trainer and the Toad 3. Theme For An Imaginary Western 4. Ain't Got A Dime Jam 5. Dreams of Milk and Honey 6. Corky's Drum Solo Parts One & Two 7. Silver Paper 8. Mississippi Queen 9. For Yasgur's Farm 10. Nantucket Sleighride 11. Travellin' In The Dark
