Rick Danko will always be known as one of the three main principals, vocalist and bass player with THE BAND.
Since the demise of THE BAND Danko has made many solo albums and was also part of the re formed group, without Robbie Robertson.
In the mid 80s Danko worked with Paul Butterfield and Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna) amongst others.
He also toured with Ringo Starr as part of The All Star Band.
This haunting and quite poignant solo set recorded in the year of his death, 1999 in Philadelphia.
Rick Danko’s set in those final months included a feast of BAND songs along with DYLAN material as well as traditional blues material.
