RICK DANKO was and will forever be known as one of the three singing members of THE BAND as well as their bassist.
Their principle lead singer on their classic first album and was the second of the members to join the group, THE HAWKS back in the day backing RONNIE HAWKINS and later of course BOB DYLAN.
In 1977 THE BAND split up and DANKO was signed to ARISTA RECORDS, his first official solo album was released in 1978.
This solo collection comes from the RICK DANKO archives and features Sweet Romance, Java Blues, New Mexico, Tired of Waiting, Sip the Wine, and Once Upon a Time, all of which would appear later on his debut solo album.
This unique recording took place on the 15th December 1977.
