JOHN POPPER is a founding member of BLUES TRAVELLER, whose latest album ‘Suzie Cracks the Whip’ we released last year on FREEWORLD Records.
POPPER is the bands front man who plays harmonica, and guitar. He is a prolific songwriter and has composed the majority of the lyrics and music of the BLUES TRAVELLER’s songs. In 1996 he was awarded a Grammy for the song ‘Run Around’ and has co-written and performed with WARREN HAYNES, DAVE MATTHEWS, PHISH, ERIC CLAPTON, THE GRATEFUL DEAD, THE ALLMAN BROTHERS and METALLICA. The DUSKRAY TROUBADOURS is his latest side project that plays Americana Roots music. This is their debut album produced by band member JONO MANSON, and now gets its first official European release.
