DAVE ALVIN is of course the founder and main songwriter of the band that kick started the American roots rock scene in the early eighties THE BLASTERS.

‘Blues Boulevard’ originally released in 1991 on HIGHTONE Records and features DWIGHT YOAKAM, DAVID HIDALGO, and LEE ALLEN.   This album is considered essential for anyone interested in Californian roots music from the early nineties.   ‘Museum of the Heart’ originally released in 1993 on HIGHTONE and features an all star cast including JOHN DOE, SYD STRAW, and KATY MOFFATT. A particular note is the song ‘Between the Cracks’ co-written with TOM RUSSELL.   Presented here as a 2 CD set released at MID-PRICE.
