Symphonic rock band Simple Harmonic Motion are back after a 5 year hiatus with a brand new studio album “Variations”. Guest vocals are once again provided by Emma Brown.
Following on from their last album “Fantasia”, the band are continuing to re-work classical repertoire for presentation in a contemporary style. Adaptations include the Introit and Kyrie from the Fauré Requiem and the Chorale from Bach’s St. John Passion.
The band will be performing in The Netherlands during November 2025, and in the UK in Spring 2026. They will be playing music from the new album along with Bach/Gounod's “Ave Maria” and the “Sanctus” from Fauré's Requiem from “Fantasia”. They will also be performing music from their debut album “Tone Poems” based on their interpretation of poems by Keats.
