CHRIS SMITHER’s career stretches back to 1970 when he released his debut album. In the early seventies he had a long standing working relationship with BONNIE RAITT, who describes SMITHER as “my Eric Clapton”.
Up On the Lowdown was originally released on HIGH TONE Records in 1995. Drive You Home Again was also on HIGH TONE Records originally released in 1999.
SMITHERS gravelly instantly recognisably voice is a perfect fit for his sharply honed lyrics and his blues and folk based music. He is a frequent visitor to the UK and Europe and hopefully we will see him again in 2015.
