Geoff Muldaur is an American singer/songwriter whose career began in the mid- sixties with the JIM KWESKIN JUG BAND, and he was also a member of PAUL BUTTERFIELD’s band.
He is an accomplished guitarist, composer, and arranger.
This two disc set released at mid-price from the vaults of HIGHTONE RECORDS features The Secret Handshake originally released in 1998 and Password released in 2000. .
‘The Secret Handshake’ takes on a batch of his favourite Country and Blues tunes and adds a couple of originals to the mix. It features a cast of players including DAVID GRISMAN, HAL KETCHUM, BILL RICH, AMOS GARRETT, DAVE ALVIN, and VAN DYKE PARKS, amongst many others.
On ‘Password’ he was backed by DAVID LINDLEY, RICHARD GREENE, and KATE and ANNA McGARRIGLE. The songs themselves are a mix of classics, and MULDAUR originals.
