Charlie Daniels is an American multi-instrumentalist, actor, lyricist, and singer, known for his contributions to country, bluegrass, and Southern Rock music. He is perhaps best known for his number one country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". He has been active as a singer and musician since the 1950s and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016.
This set features three original albums: Te John, Grease And Wolfman (released in 1972), Whiskey (originally released as Way Down Yonder in 1974) and Windows from 1982.
Daniels is in his eightieth year and is as busy as ever. He has just started a major US tour marking the 45th anniversary of Charlie Daniels Band and has written a memoir – Never Look At The Empty Seats – which will be published later this year.
