The late HUGH HOPPER was a founder member of what’s become known as The Canterbury Scene, and was an early member of SOFT MACHINE before carving out a successful solo career.
RICHARD SINCLAIR again one of the founding fathers of The Canterbury Scene, was a member of the legendary CARAVAN.
In 1983, they recorded the studio album ‘Somewhere in France’ at a time where CARAVAN and SOFT MACHINE were no more.
The result is a collection of tunes far removed by the most extreme complexity of their previous bands.
RICHARD SINCLAIR plays bass and some guitar, and HUGH HOPPER plays bass and keyboards. An essential purchase for anybody into the Canterbury Scene.
Tracks:
Long Lingers Autumn Time, Potted History, Keep On Caring, Cruising the Eastern Sky, Oldest Story Ever Told, Video Shows, Solidarity, Only the Brave, Colin-A-Dell.
