About this release

Five travellers/musicians are on a journey down the mountains to the mythical modern city of Platterback. Their story by turns comic, tender and tragic is told in songs that evoke the many indiums of contemporary jazz and popular music.

The Company is KATE WESTBROOK, JOHN WINFIELD, KARAN STREET, STANLEY ADLER, and MIKE WESTBROOK. Platterback was originally commissioned by Blackheath Concert Halls and was originally released in 1998 and produced by JOHN WINFIELD. MIKE WESTBROOK is currently celebrating over 30 years in the business, and is planning a number of shows next year.
