Live At The Fillmore East 1970 (LP)

About this release

Johnny Winter was a Texan singer, guitarist, songwriter, and record producer best known for his high-energy blues rock albums and live performances.  He also produced three Grammy Award-winning late career albums for blues singer and guitarist Muddy Waters.  In 1988, he was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame, and in 2003 he was ranked 63rd in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.

This album was first released as an LP in 1971, under the title “Johnny Walker And” with recordings  taken from shows the previous year at the Fillmore East and Pirate's World, Dania, Florida.  Alongside Winter, the group included guitarist Rick Derringer and bassist Randy Jo Hobbs, both former members of The McCoys, and drummer Bobby Caldwell
