Live Again!

Live Again!

About this release

Aside from a couple of bootlegs, this newly discovered concert board tape is a welcome addition to his slim recorded legacy.

OCHS was an important part of the early sixties Greenwich Village Folk scene, and by 1964 he had albums out on three different labels.

In 1973 he performed at The Stables in East Lansing where this concert was recorded.

The material is drawn from his already vast back catalogue, and ranges from the political ‘Here’s to the State of Richard Nixon’ to the hard hitting intensity of ‘Crucifixion’.

A bonus track ‘Ballad of the Carpenter’ has been added not from this concert, but was recorded later in Chicago.

The executive producer is MICHAEL OCHS (Phil’s brother) who also provided the pictures from his famous archive for this package.

Tracks:

The Bells, Flower Lady, I’m Going to Say it Now, There But For Fortune, Outside of a Small Circle of Friends, I Ain’t Marching Anymore, Changes, Here’s to the State of Richard Nixon, The Highway Man, Santo Domingo, Chords of Fame, Boy in Ohio, Pretty Smart on My Part, Crucifixion, Is There Anybody Here?, Power and the Glory, Pleasures of the Harbor, The Party.
