ELTON DEAN began his professional career with LONG JOHN BALDRY’S BLUESOLOGY in 1967. The keyboard player in that band was ELTON JOHN.
After BALDRY, DEAN joined KEITH TIPPETT and recorded two albums in the sixties for Vertigo Label. In 1969 he joined SOFT MACHINE, with the legendary line-up of ROBERT WYATT, HUGH HOPPER, and MIKE RATLEDGE, and played on the bands finest recordings. He has also played with CENTIPEDE, and THE BROTHERHOOD OF BREATH. For this recording he teamed up with MARK SANDERS, one of the most active percussionists on England’s Jazz scene.
