ROBERT CALVERT one time front man and composer for HAWKWIND and co-wrote their biggest hit ‘Silver Machine’.

He finally left the group in 1979 to start his solo career which included albums, stage plays, poetry, and a novel.   He has also collaborated with BRIAN ENO, ARTHUR BROWN, JIM CAPALDI, and VIV STANSHALL, amongst many others.   In the mid-eighties he embarked on a series of live shows playing material from his HAWKWIND years such as ‘Quark, Strangeness, and Charm’, and material from his solo albums.
