CHARLIE formed in 1971 and released four albums in their career up to 1986.
They toured extensively in America and the UK supporting amongst others FLEETWOOD MAC, THE KINKS, THE DOOBIE BROTHERS, and ALICE COOPER.
CHARLIE were an ‘almost’ band, had strong critical reviews, and radio friendly hits including ‘Men without Hats’. But a combination of bad management and record company indifference, meant they never actually made the Top 100.
Their last studio album ‘Kitchens of Distinction’ came out in 2009.
For this final album, writer/guitarist/producer/singer TERRY THOMAS has recruited original members JULIAN COLBECK, and MARTIN SMITH, along with JEFF BECKS drummer STEVE ALEXANDER.
Tracks:
YouTube Girl, The Ballad of Kerry Katona, Virus, Make It Real, Elysium, I Want A Maserati, Thinking About You, Call Me Dave, Clutching At Straws, Hey Dude, Abandon Ship, The Super Rich, Sad, Talking Heads.
