We are delighted to present the brand new album from indie rock stalwarts CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN, with this follow up and companion album to their critically acclaimed La Cost Perdida.
La Costa reflected the Northern California back to the countryside side of the band. The songs on El Camino are firmly rooted in a grittier Earth one that lies beneath the southern half of the state.
Produced by the band, Camino’s harder sonic edges capture the sounds of an entirely different roadtrip.
Main man DAVID LOWERY says “The best way to look at the new album, is to draw a contrast between La Costa Perdida where the ocean is calm, benevolent, and femine; on El Camino the sea is filled with darkness, secrets, and chemicals.”
Tracks: The Ultimate Solution, It Was Like That When We Got Here, Classy Dames and Able Gents, Camp Pendleton, Dock Weiler Beach, Sugar Town, I Live in LA, Out Like A Lion, Goalbase, Darken Your Door, Grasshopper.
