Western Swing Revivalists HOT CLUB OF COWTOWN, formed in San Diego in 1996 and were originally a duo with singer ELANA FREMERMAN, and singing guitarist WHIT SMITH, they moved to Austin Texas and joined up with BILLY HORTON.
This two CD set from the vaults of HIGH TONE RECORDS features their third album ‘Dev’lish Mary’ and was produced by LLYOD MAINES famed for his work with JIMMIE DALE GILMORE and JOE ELY, originally released in 2000. The follow up ‘Ghost Train’ released in 2002 takes an occasional two step towards Texas Road-House Swing. THE HOT CLUB OF COWTOWN are touring the UK and Europe in the Autumn of this year.
