Recorded live on the bands first American tour in 1990.
The ‘Madchester’ sound as it is now know proved to be one of the more enduring movements of that time period. Inspiring a number of major British bands, including many of the leading Brit Pop acts of the nineties, such as Manchester’s own Oasis. The heart of the ‘Madchester’ scene was the Hacienda nightclub. The kings of the Manchester sound were undoubtedly the HAPPY MONDAYS. After their third album ‘Pills n Thrills n Belly Aches’ Charted in the American top 200 they embarked on their first US tour. These recordings capture the raw excitement and unique sound of the band playing away, but coming home with the result they needed. A huge dose of fun! Tracks: Step On, Clap Your Hands, Kinky Afro, Lazyitis, Rave On, Do It Better, Performance, God’s Cop, Halleluiah, Wrote for Luck. VINYL
