Blessed Blues is the follow up to TON TON MACOUTE over 25 years later. In 1996 Capricorn Records founder Phil Walden persuaded Jenkins to record this "comeback" album.
Backed by a stellar cast of musicians including CHUCK LEAVELL on keyboards (now playing with THE ROLLING STONES) and THE MUSCLE SHOALS percussionist MICKEY BUCKINS
Jenkins was born in Macon Georgia in 1939. He was first heard on the radio by Phil Walden in 1959 who began booking his band THE PINETOPPERS which included the late great OTIS REDDING on vocals.
