Acid Motherhood

About this release

Out of stock

GONG was formed in the late sixties by ex SOFT MACHINE guitarist DAEVID ALLEN.

The band in one shape of form have continued to record to the present day.   This album was originally released in 2004 and the musicians were a merger of people between latter day GONG, the UNIVERSITY OF ERAS, and ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE. The resulting sound is wilder, heavier, and noisier than anything else GONG has previously released.   The track Makototen is the genuine ‘lets go nuts’ jam. It’s also the closest the band gets to the Acid Mother Temples sound. Fourteen minutes of an insistent beat and atonal guitar exchanges.   Tracks:   Ocean of Molasses, Supercotton, Olde Fooles Game, Zeroina, Brainwash Me, Monstah!, Bible Study, Bazuki Logix, Waving, Makototen, Schwitless in Molasses.   Did GONG have to prove it had to carry on into the 21st century? Yes it did! And it succeeded with this highly recommended album.
