Although remembered principally as a much in-demand backing vocalist and session singer, the late Clydie King made many notable records under her own name, and as a member of various ensembles over a career that spanned the mid-fifties through to the mid-eighties, when health issues curtailed her career. This month’s featured album is Direct Me, her first long playing release.
